Wiley’s Old Ride:
1988 Porsche 911 Carerra Coupe

A nice side view of the 911 beside Crystal Springs reservoir in San Mateo, CA. For the inquisitive, it's not a turbo body, but the spoiler is the "tea tray" factory spoiler.

Parked in the same place, but a slightly different view. The color is hard to discern in the gloomy light, but it's called "Venetian Blue." |

The heart of the matter: the 911's horizontally-opposed 6-cylinder 3.2-liter air-cooled engine. Horsepower is, as Rolls-Royce is fond of saying, "adequate." I'm lucky that the previous owner was rather tidy. You could eat off of this engine! |
